In the area known as Hegyfarok, which is protected because of its drought-tolerant vegetation, you can also find the village’s cellar rows. The area was declared a protected area in 1965 to protect the valuable xerothermic flora and fauna it contains. It is part of the NATURA 2000 network of protected areas of European importance.
